OPRF Community Foundation Year End Grant Recognizes Hunger Walkathon West CROP Walk

As we end the year of 2020, we are ever so grateful for the recognition that Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation has shown in our efforts to provide funds for the hungry in our local area by providing a grant to us.

As reported in the Wednesday Journal article December 23, 2020, Community Foundation grants 24 nonprofits a total of $172,500.00. As described on their website: The Rapid Response and Recovery Fund is infusing desperately needed dollars to agencies fighting to provide daily, ongoing support to our most vulnerable neighbors: those struggling with food insecurity, permanent housing, and health concerns.

Through the efforts of Business co-Chair, Doug Wyman, we were able to be considered for and granted these funds. They will be used to distribute to the agencies that provide food, which is ever more in demand.

We look forward to continuing our efforts as we enter our 38th year of, Ending Hunger One Step At A Time, at the Hunger Walkathon West CROP Walk on Sunday, May 2, 2021 and the support that you give.
