One of the recipients for which we raise money at the CROP Hunger Walk is the Forest Park Food Pantry. Located in the Howard Mohr Community Center, they help community people and families who are in need of food. They collect and stage the food for local distribution at the center and distribute the food once a month. If a client is need of food sooner, they will not turn them away. They recently had a grant to obtain a walk-in cooler which enables them to provide milk and other perishable items for their monthly box of food.
An article in the Forest Park Review in November 2013 shows how they seek to add a special touch during the holiday seasons.
